Music Directors – Scott and Sonja Millichamp

Scott Millichamp

Scott moved to Midland in 2009 to begin a position with the West Texas Symphony as their Co-Principal Horn and Lone Star Brass hornist. He also enjoys composing and arranging; this led him to live in Hawai’i from 2005-2007 as a graduate assistant in composition at the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa, and during this time he also played piano for First Unitarian Church of Honolulu.

Sonja Millichamp

Sonja moved to Midland in 2011 because she was following Scott! She was very fortunate to also join the West Texas Symphony in 2012 as Co-Principal Horn and West Texas Winds hornist. Sonja also has a lifelong love of singing and has previously performed as a soloist and choir member for the West Texas Symphony Chorale and Midland’s Musica Sacra.

If you might be interested in performing music for worship services please let us know! This is a wonderful opportunity for you to give to your congregation and share music that excites you. We can also help you connect your musical offerings to upcoming service themes. For those who are not musicians, we welcome your requests and suggestions for music you would like to hear during service, be that a favorite hymn, or a particular instrument, piece, or style. We look forward to hearing from you!
